Playing the above example you probably found it difficult to play the last note in each bar cleanly. To assist with some chord changes, try omitting the last note before a chord change.
The next example is the same as the above example except the final note in each bar is not played. Omitting the last note in each bar will give you more time to get to the next chord shape. Feel free to apply this principal to any chord changes which give you trouble throughout the book. When you become competent with Jazz fingerpicking you will be capable of playing the last note cleanly, and still get to the next chord in time.
