This C# note is easy to play, as it doesn’t require the use of any fingers. You can also play C# an octave higher by adding the octave key. Once you know the note C#, you can play the D major scale, which is shown below.
Notice the key signature of D major which consists of two sharps (F# and C#). Learn this scale well and then transpose some melodies from earlier in the book to the key of D major. Begin with simple melodies and gradually work up to more difficult ones.
