Playing Both Bongos

Once you are comfortable playing one drum, it is time to learn to use both of the bongo drums. Because the two drums are different sizes, they will make different sounds. The smaller drum will have a higher sound than the larger one. The notation for the smaller bongo drum will be written in the top space of the bass staff. Practice alternating between the two drums as shown in the following exercise.
