Everything you have played so far has involved picking one string at a time. However, as a guitar player it is important to be able to play one, two, three, four, five or six strings together at any given moment. Two notes played together are called double stops. The next example uses the 1st and 2nd strings together and then the 2nd and 3rd strings together. All the notes here are played with downstrokes (even the 8th notes). As with all examples, make sure all the notes are clear and even.
