Internal Padding (Bass Drum Only)

The amount of padding necessary for the bass drum varies according to the length of sustain required.

The most common forms of padding are pillows or blankets.

Blanket

When you apply the padding to the bass drum it is important not to over do it! Usually you only need to pad up to one third of the bass drum heads to achieve a good solid bass drum sound.
