Finger-Picking Style

Bass players can play chord arpeggios by using a similar right hand finger-picking style as used by guitarists.

Right Hand

The fingers used for finger-picking are the thumb (T), index (I), middle (M) and ring finger (R).

Place the fingertips of your right hand fingers on the strings you intend to pick. Play the string by rolling the fingertip away from the string (see photo).
