The Bm chord is constructed from the B major scale (see Appendix 2). Using the minor chord formula on the B major scale, it can be seen that the Bm chord contains the notes B, D and F#. When the third note of the B major scale (D#) is flattened it becomes a D note. Play the three notes of the Bm chord individually, and then together, with both your left and right hands in various positions on the keyboard.
