In Lesson 4, you were introduced to the turnaround progression. Pop songs that are based upon a turnaround progression were extremely common in the fifties and sixties. Even nowadays it would be unusual for a Pop chart not to contain songs that use a turnaround progression.
There are two basic forms of turnaround, however there are many variations of both.
The VIm chord is the relative minor to the I chord. Practice playing turnaround No. 1 in the keys shown previously and the other keys with which you are familiar.
