Blues Licks

Here are several more licks to really get you comfortable with the Blues scale. Each of these licks works over a different part of the 12 Blues progression, the most common of Blues progressions featured throughout Progressive Blues Lead Guitar Method.

This example incorporates a slight bend, a hammer-on and vibrato.

The following lick consists of two separate phrases, the first is played on the bass strings, the second is played on the treble strings.

This example is a familiar sounding Blues lick often played at the end of a Blues progression.
