Here is another fingering for the Blues scale, this time the higher version of the E form in the 12th position.

Try the following example which ascends the E form in the 12th position.

Here is an exercise to gain control of hammer-ons and pull-offs when using the b5, in this case Bb.

The next lick involves the use of double stops (two notes played together). This may take some time to master, but as you can hear on the recording, it is a full colorful sound. The technique requites the use of both pick and fingers of the right hand, or thumb and fingers. You may have heard Buddy Guy play this type of lick.

Use pick on lower note and finger on higher note.
