The A Major Scale

Lesson 2/57 | Study Time: 5 Min
The A Major Scale

The A Major Scale

The A major scale contains 3 sharps, F#, C# and G#.

The following scale study uses two octaves of the A major scale. Be sure to observe the new key signature, and also the fingering marked above bars 7 — 10.

This Irish folk song provides a good mixture of eighth and sixteenth notes, so be careful with your timing. In bar 1, hold down the A and C# notes for the whole bar, using the fingering marked.
