Minor Chords

The next type of chord you will learn is the Minor chord. Minor chords have a more "haunting" or "creepy" sound than Major chords. The most common basic Minor chords are the A Minor, D Minor and E Minor chords.

The next rhythm you will learn is counted 1, 2 and 3 and 4. The A Minor chord is played for this example.

The A Minor, D Minor and E Minor chords are used for Coal Miner Blues. The rhythm is as in Example 16.

Now try the lead guitar part Coal Miner Blues.

Bm

The sixth and fifth strings should be avoided when strumming B Minor.
