Combing Riffs and Chords

Funk guitar playing often contains lots of interplay between single note riffs and chords. These next examples combine single note ideas using the Blues scale, with chords. Usually in this style of playing there is a strong element of call and response. Have fun with these riffs and try making up some of your own.
