More Scales and Techniques

This lesson will introduce several more scales and techniques that are used in Metal guitar.

This lead guitar pattern is a popular extension to the minor pentatonic scale featured in the last lesson. Special attention should be given to the position of the extension in relation to pattern one.

Here is a common way of ascending and descending pattern one and its extension. Special attention should be given to the suggested left hand fingering.
