Whammy Bar Techniques

The bridge on most Metal electric guitars is a movable bridge, i.e., with the aid of a tremolo arm it can be tilted forward or backward thus lowering or raising the pitch of the string. The tremolo arm, commonly referred to as the whammy bar is used frequently in Metal guitar styles.
