Another common technique is to use a left hand hammer-on immediately after the right hand tap and pull-off. Here is an example. Take it slowly at first and make sure all the notes sound clearly and evenly. Learn it in two bar sections and then put the whole thing together.
Here are a couple more tapping licks which make use of left hand slurs. These ones include both hammer-ons and pull-offs along with the right hand taps and pull-offs. As with previous examples, play them slowly with your metronome until you have control of all the notes and then gradually increase the tempo.
This one includes the use of open strings. Play it carefully and make sure there are no unwanted extra strings ringing.
