In the following chords and arpeggio exercise leave the B2 in position for both the F#7 and Bm chords.
The key of B minor was a particular favourite of the great Andres Segovia, and he composed several important studies in this key. Agustin Barrios also chose B minor as the key for his greatest work, La Catedral.
In Sor's Study in B Minor, (on the following page) I have only included the first section to demonstrate the key of B minor and Bar chords- Try using rest strokes (see page 91) on the upper or melody notes, i.e. first and third beats of each bar, to give a texture to the otherwise sameness of the arpeggio. Make sure to retain the correct hand position when using the rest stroke. As it is an arpeggio study you should hold chord shapes wherever possible. In bars 1 -6 the third finger acts as a pivot (dotted indication).
