The following example in * time, involves two and three open string notes played together. Use the same procedure as previously outlined on page 33. Be sure to keep both (or all) fingers together at the tips and make the notes sound as one.
Two or more notes played together are generally called chords. The subject of chords will be dealt with in more detail later in the method.
The following Waltz (a dance in ^ timing) uses open strings in all but bars 2 and 6 where it is necessary to place 1 and 2 together on the notes C @ and A #.
