Rasgueadof the wonderfully varied strumming technique peculiar to Spanish flamenco music, is used sparingly in the classical guitar repertoire, mainly, of course, in Spanish pieces. Some of the most important rasgueado types are as follows:

The following rasgueado examples are recorded at a slow tempo the first time through and at a faster tempo on the repeat to demonstrate both a practice and performance tempo.
